Job Description:

  • This individual will be the go-to person for project build, panel and equipment assembly and site installation work. This will also include the management of sub contractor resources as required from time to time.
  • Provide technical assistance in the development and execution of automation and/or controls solutions as required, including some design, programming and/or commissioning.
  • Provide assistance in the on-going development of internal best practices.
  • Day to day troubleshooting and continuous improvement of existing automation and controls systems.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years relevant industry experience.
  • Systems integration experience is preferred over manufacturing experience.
  • Must have a strong mechanical and electrical aptitude. Preference for individuals with Industrial Electrician License 442a, Master Electrician or Apprentice
  • Organized and methodical thinker.
  • A team player mentality and enjoys working with others to find the best solution.
  • A quick thinker for resolving problems.
  • Hands-on and practical trouble shooter.
  • Absolutely must be a self-starter, motivated and have the ability to work independently.
  • Site commissioning and testing experience.
  • Industrial electrical design experience and ability to read prints
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft office software products.
  • Must be available to work weekdays and/or weekends from time to time.
  • Must have a valid G license.
  • Hands on experience would be considered an asset.

Industrial drafting experience using the following platforms:

  • AutoCAD
  • AutoCAD Electrical
  • Solidworks Electrical

Experience with industrial programming hardware and software would be considered an asset. Preference will be given to those with experience in the following platforms:

  • Allen-Bradley: CLX, CPLX, RSlogix5000, Factory Talk Studio

Proficient with the following industrial programming languages:

  • Ladder logic
