Make an impact with our Financial Advisory Services and Corporate Recovery & Restructuring team as an Analyst. The Financial Advisory Services team of professionals works with clients in a wide range of industries and business sizes. Work with our extensive network of industry specialists to deliver independent, concise valuation assessments and reports, including: business valuations, intangible assets, financial reporting requirements, property tax recovery, fairness opinions, and litigation support.

The Corporate Recovery & Restructuring team of professionals assists lenders and debtors with managing challenging financial situations. As a trusted advisor, you’ll help clients navigate through times of financial distress.

Financial Advisory Service Responsibilities

  • Assist in the execution of corporate finance engagements for clients including the research and identification of new markets or candidates and the process management of mergers, acquisitions and divestitures.
  • Prepare cash flows, valuation models, and other technical based analysis, projections and forecasts.
  • Assist in preparing formal valuation reports and/or memorandums documenting the valuation approaches and conclusions.
  • Conduct market research into valuation methods and best practices, market trends, and technical topics.
  • Learn and become knowledgeable of applicable accounting standards pertaining to various valuation issues.
  • Participate in business development initiatives and contribute to the preparation and delivery of competitive proposals.
  • Manage multiple engagements simultaneously and complete deliverables according to timelines.
  • Work collaboratively with the client engagement team.

Corporate Recovery & Restructuring Responsibilities

  • Obtain and assist in analyzing all necessary mandate information.
  • Support the preparation of schedules, reports, cash flows, and other documentation.
  • Assist in compiling, reviewing and analyzing creditor data and government registries.
  • Respond to creditor, interested parties, and other stakeholders’ queries.
  • Assist with administering the asset sale process and debt recovery.
  • Liaise with relevant stakeholders both on the phone and in-person, as necessary.
  • Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes.
  • Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary.
  • Work collaboratively with the engagement team.

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation is considered an asset.
