Responsibilities
- Specification Validation: Validate and correct assembly specifications or manufacturing routines for the manufacture or assembly of aircraft components.
- Drawing Interpretation: Interpret drawings and other documents from the engineering department.
- Manufacturing Strategies: Establish assembly and manufacturing strategies for aircraft components.
- Tool Definition: Define the tools required for the manufacture or assembly of aircraft components to ensure the required geometric tolerancing.
- Engineering Harmonization: Harmonize the implementation of engineering changes or assembly strategies by working closely with engineering, materials logistics, quality, and production departments.
- Production Support: Actively participate in production support by coordinating the resolution of technical problems with other support departments.
- Continuous Improvement: Be on the lookout for ways to improve assembly and manufacturing strategies and take part in research and development projects.
Qualifications
- Education: College or university diploma in mechanical, avionics, electrical, industrial or electromechanical engineering, aeronautical manufacturing, or a minimum of 1-3 years in a related discipline.
- Technical Drawing: Comfortable reading technical drawings with good 3D visualization and analytical skills.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Logical and mechanically minded.
- Software Skills: Familiar with MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and computer-aided drafting software such as Catia, AutoCad, Enovia.
- ERP Knowledge: Familiar with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software such as BAAN, SAP.
- Team Player: Excellent team player, with a reputation for perseverance and sound judgment.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in both spoken and written French, with a good knowledge of English.
