Job Description:
Funrise is seeking a creative Digital Merchandiser to join the team. In collaboration with Global Brand Marketing and the Commercial Sales team, the Digital Merchandiser is responsible for leading the creation, development, and execution of content for all Funrise products. These execution plans and strategies must be aligned with business stakeholders. This role is highly collaborative and requires a strong customer focus, a drive for results, and a high degree of initiative in a constantly changing eComm environment.
Responsibilities:
Content Strategy & Creation:
- Develop and implement digital merchandising strategies to meet sales and revenue targets across major US and Canadian online retailers.
- Drive sales via e-commerce sales channel(s) while conducting the analysis and reporting of product performance metrics with available tech stack (Commerce IQ, Stackline)
- Align with global guidelines and best practices for asset creation across core portfolio, innovation launches, micro-moments, seasonal periods, and transitioning Items. Make recommendations for staying ahead of competition.
- Optimize and make recommendations around keyword development & optimization.
- Partner with the internal Marketing team to align on content briefing and lead projects with external marketing agencies to lead the development of digital assets (copywriting, SEO optimization, Image creation, video development).
- Lead A/B testing and learning across retailer websites, using Insights to build strategy and evolve eCommerce channels.
- Lead special projects like Content Playbooks, driving digital muscle with marketing, sales, and strategy teams.
Content Management:
- Point of contact for digital assets, product content, retailer guidelines, content strategy, optimization, and implementation.
- Manage and maintain product content within Salsify PXM, driving PIM Integration Improvements, as well as catalog and channel mapping.
- Collaborate with sales teams to update Product Detail Pages (PDP's) across retailer websites to improve presence on the digital shelf and enhance online shopper experience.
- Drive Digital Store improvements across retailer websites, focusing on assortment (listings and availability), navigation (taxonomy and shopper journey), content (product titles, Images, description, bullet points, advanced content, and ratings & reviews) and search (visibility across generic and branded keywords).
- Manage the relationship with agencies such as Salsify, eFundamentals, and Bazaar Voice. Manage and utilize 3rd party tools as enablers.
Analytics & Reporting:
- Conduct and present analytical sales reports to identify key drivers and drainers in online business performance, and propose recommendations to action opportunities.
- Monitor competitor activities and industry trends to identify opportunities and potential threats.
- Utilize web analytics tools to track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as traffic, conversion rates, and average order value.
- Responsible for total eComm scorecard reporting every period.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in digital merchandising, e-commerce, or related roles.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proficiency in e-commerce platforms, content management systems, and web analytics tools.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Project).
- Knowledge of SEO and SEM best practices.
- Understand core business metrics and how they are influenced through online merchandising.
- Proven project management skills and attention to detail.
- Self-starter for whom initiative is a habit. Ability to work in fast-paced environments with changing priorities.
- Strong collaborative skills and experience in managing internal & external relationships. Basic understanding of how Brand Marketers & Key Account Teams function.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Creative thinking and a customer-centric mindset.
