Position Summary

Reporting to the Manager, Environmental Services, you will be responsible for maintaining, cleaning and enhancing the patient environment. Responsibilities also include safe transportation of patients, supplies, specimens and equipment, in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Mandatory Qualifications

  • Secondary school diploma or equivalent
  • Environmental Services A Course for Frontline Staff (preferred)

  • Current housekeeping experience

  • Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Able to work in and contribute to a team environment

  • Demonstrated ability to work with little or no supervision
  • Able to work all shifts including holidays and weekends if required
  • Effective September 7th, 2021 all applicants must provide proof of two doses for full vaccination against Covid-19 (in the form of watermark receipts from the provincial portal) or provide written proof of a medical or religious reason for not being fully vaccinated as per Organization Policy, Covid-19 Immunization and Management.

Physical Demands

  • This position involves extensive physical effort for more than 80 percent of the shift including walking, standing, lifting, pushing, pulling of equipment and carts, and use of ladders.
