Civil/Waste Management Engineer

Your day will include:
- Project Management & Waste Management Engineering Design (preliminary and detailed) of civil infrastructure and solid waste projects
- Managing and/or leading technical roles on solid waste projects in Canada
- Preparation of technical reports, letters, and memorandums
- Contributing to technical and professional leadership within the firm
- Coordinating project tasks, budgets, and schedules
Business Development:
Contribute to business development activities including:
- Preparation of project work plans, technical and financial proposals, presentations, and client liaison
- Business travel to sites or other Dillon offices upon request
Learning & Development:
Your success will require:
- Commitment to self-development and ongoing learning
- Guidance for junior staff career development
- Active participation in professional associations and committees
To succeed, you will need:
- A degree in civil engineering
- Licensed Engineer in Nova Scotia or Ontario, or ability to become one upon joining Dillon
- Minimum 5 years of experience. Previous work with solid waste management, civil engineering, or consulting engineering is an asset
You should possess:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of provincial and federal environmental legislation
- General understanding of AUTOCAD, GIS, or Surfer software is beneficial
