Responsibilities

Your day will include:

  1. Project Management & Waste Management Engineering Design (preliminary and detailed) of civil infrastructure and solid waste projects
  2. Managing and/or leading technical roles on solid waste projects in Canada
  3. Preparation of technical reports, letters, and memorandums
  4. Contributing to technical and professional leadership within the firm
  5. Coordinating project tasks, budgets, and schedules

Business Development:

Contribute to business development activities including:

  1. Preparation of project work plans, technical and financial proposals, presentations, and client liaison
  2. Business travel to sites or other Dillon offices upon request

Learning & Development:

Your success will require:

  1. Commitment to self-development and ongoing learning
  2. Guidance for junior staff career development
  3. Active participation in professional associations and committees
Qualifications

To succeed, you will need:

  1. A degree in civil engineering
  2. Licensed Engineer in Nova Scotia or Ontario, or ability to become one upon joining Dillon
  3. Minimum 5 years of experience. Previous work with solid waste management, civil engineering, or consulting engineering is an asset
Experience

You should possess:

  1. Strong verbal and written communication skills
  2. Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
  3. Knowledge of provincial and federal environmental legislation
  4. General understanding of AUTOCAD, GIS, or Surfer software is beneficial
