We currently have a permanent, full time opportunity for a Supervisor Compliance to join our Customer Division. This role will report to the Manager Customer Experience. The Customer Division includes the Contact Centre, Branches and Operations teams.

The Supervisor Compliance will lead a small team to ensure quality, timeliness and accuracy of reporting submissions.

What you will be doing

  • Develop and manage frameworks for policy and audit processes to meet the requirements of relevant regulators such as Australian Tax Office (ATO), Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA), Australian Prudential Regulatory Agency (APRA), and Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC).
  • Oversight and knowledge of CRS and FATCA, specifically reporting obligations, procedural management, and data collection.
  • Interpret and advise on compliance in line with regulatory obligations, while staying current with regulatory requirements and updates.
  • Manage audit processes, reporting and support continuous improvement in systems and processes.
  • Assess compliance incidents and engage with relevant departments to ensure incidents are appropriately remediated and the risk of future non-compliance is reduced or avoided.
  • Deliver on required compliance needs in a timely manner.
  • As an SME for the team, liaise with internal and external stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Analyse and interpret data across various systems.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of compliance team activities.
  • Review and manage current policies, procedures and document processes.

What you will bring

  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent relevant industry experience is desired.
  • Ability to understand raw data, analyse and identify trends, prepare reports and recommendations.
  • A comprehensive knowledge of CRS and FATCA requirements is highly desirable.
  • Ability to effectively set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to understand regulatory compliance processes and systems as it applies to the banking and financial industry is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability.
  • Quality orientation and attention to detail.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel and CRM Systems.
  • A growth mindset with the ability to design and utilise formalised frameworks to document new processes.
