Today is the day to boost your career Pinchin is seeking a Project Technologist to join our Hazardous Materials and Indoor Environmental Quality team in our St. Catharines office.

A Day in the life of a Project Technologist at Pinchin:

  • Perform comprehensive building assessments for hazardous materials such as asbestos, lead, PCBs, mould, etc.
  • Complete mould and indoor air quality investigations in buildings related to floods, water losses, smoke, and fire.
  • Collect and interpret various building material samples, air samples, and perform Phase Contrast Microscopy (PCM) analysis.
  • Engage in on-site fieldwork, overseeing abatement and remediation activities and conducting site visits.
  • Coordinate and oversee subcontractors involved in remediation efforts.
  • Compile comprehensive technical reports detailing findings and recommendations.
  • Effectively manage project timelines and resources.
  • Foster clear communication with clients and subcontractors, prioritizing health, safety, and hygiene concerns.
  • Cultivate and sustain positive client relationships through attentive service and professionalism.

What You Bring To The Pinchin Team:

  • College diploma in Environmental, Construction or Architectural Technology, or Bachelor of Science or Applied Science in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience with building construction or hazardous materials and indoor environmental quality is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Self-directed and mature.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Must be able to read technical specifications, drawings and reports.
  • Valid driver’s license, insurance and a personal vehicle required.
  • Availability to travel to clients’ sites (short-term work-related travel).
  • Availability to work outside of core business hours.
  • Availability to work occasional weekends.
