The Senior Project Technologist position is ideal for someone looking for career advancement and professional growth, including an opportunity to develop into a Project Manager role. The ideal candidate will be familiar with relevant Ontario regulations and have at least 3-5 years of experience in the environmental consulting industry.

A Day in the life of a Project Technologist at Pinchin:

  • Perform due diligence Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments
  • Perform Phase ONE and TWO Record of Site Condition Environmental Site Assessments
  • Perform Landfill Compliance Monitoring
  • Develop technical scopes of work for environmental assessments and monitoring programs
  • Develop and oversee the implementation of Soil Management Plans associated with the Excess Soils Regulation
  • Conduct soil vapour, groundwater and surface water monitoring and sampling programs
  • Monitor underground storage tank removal programs
  • Perform environmental quality testing and overseeing environmental remediation work
  • Prepare factual reports with recommended actions on how client should move forward
  • Liaise with clients and contractors
  • Develop business development skills to continue existing client relationships and build new ones

What you bring to the Pinchin team:

  • A degree or diploma in a related discipline, preferably in environmental science or engineering
  • E.I.T. or G.I.T. designations or working towards will be considered an asset
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in environmental consulting
  • A strong working knowledge of O.Reg. 153/04 and the Phase I and II CSA Standards
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
  • Excellent technical writing skills
  • Valid driver’s license, insurance & personal vehicle required (work related travel expenses will be compensated)
  • Availability to travel for work within the Southwestern Ontario Area. Occasional travel within other areas of Ontario may be required
  • Availability to occasional work outside of core business hours (i.e., evenings and weekends)
