Key Responsibilities:

Project Management

  • Oversee and drive IT projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with business objectives, budgets, and timelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scopes, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Identify and mitigate risks while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.
  • Ensure IT initiatives support Danby's strategic direction and drive measurable improvements in efficiency and innovation.

Team Leadership

  • Implement disaster recovery, backup solutions, and cybersecurity measures to minimize system downtime and protect data.
  • Regularly assess infrastructure performance and address issues proactively to maintain system stability.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and legal requirements.
  • Conduct regular security audits and implement measures to mitigate risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and adjust IT policies and procedures as needed.
  • Develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans to safeguard critical operations.

Technical Problem-Solving & Innovation

  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Proactively monitor system performance to identify potential problems before they impact users.
  • Provide effective solutions for hardware, software, and network challenges.
  • Continuously implement system improvements to enhance performance and user satisfaction.

Strategic IT Planning & Budget Management

  • Develop and execute IT strategies that align with Danby's long-term business goals.
  • Analyze current technologies and recommend innovative solutions to enhance operations.
  • Manage the IT budget effectively, ensuring strategic investment in technology while maintaining cost control.
  • Negotiate with vendors to secure value-driven contracts and services.

Required Technical Expertise

  • ERP: Proven ability to manage and optimize NetSuite or Oracle ERP systems.
  • EDI (Electronic Data Interchange): Experience with EDI systems to facilitate seamless data exchange.
  • Cybersecurity: Deep understanding of security frameworks and best practices to protect enterprise systems.
  • Microsoft Azure: Hands-on experience in cloud service management and infrastructure optimization.
  • AI & Automation: Familiarity with AI-driven solutions and their integration into business systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of IT experience, including at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in IT infrastructure management, cybersecurity, and ERP systems.
  • Experience managing third-party vendors and negotiating contracts.
  • Strong leadership, team development, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex IT projects on time and within budget.
  • Knowledge of AI implementation and emerging technologies is a plus.

This is a hybrid role, offering flexibility with a combination of remote and in-office work. You will be required report to the Corporate Headquarters (5070 Whitelaw Road, Guelph, Ontario) on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
