GEI is seeking aspiring Professionals who can contribute to the continued growth within GEI’s land development infrastructure and water resources team and are interested in working collaboratively with a talented team of design, management, and technical leaders. This position will support GEI’s land development engineering practice in our Guelph, Ontario and Kitchener, Ontario office locations, which provide services in a wide range of settings. Representative projects for the land development and civil site design for residential, industrial, commercial, and municipal sites.

Essential Responsibilities & Duties

  • Assist Project Managers on residential subdivision developments from preliminary design through construction and assumption
  • Conceptual, preliminary, and detailed engineering design for various Land Development projects
  • Coordinate with and utilize technical resources within the land development group as projects demand
  • Preparation and review of Engineering drawings sets, technical memos, reports, construction plans and specifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2+ years minimum industry experience
  • Undergraduate Degree in Civil Engineering or directly related field from a recognized university
  • Experience with engineering design of residential subdivision and site plan land developments projects
  • Experienced with standard analysis programs, Microsoft office programs, and other associated programs is desired
  • Exhibit a strong work ethic and high degree of motivation
  • Experience with writing and reviewing technical reports
  • Committed to technical excellence
