Principal Solutions Architect – Canada

As a Principal Solutions Architect at VeUP, you will:

  • Lead technical engagements with some of the most exciting AWS-driven companies in Canada.
  • Own strategic cloud transformations, helping customers accelerate their roadmap across AI/ML, GenAI, migrations, application modernization, and data analytics.
  • Be a key part of VeUP's expansion in Canada, driving technical growth and shaping how businesses engage with AWS.
  • Work hand-in-hand with AWS teams, leveraging co-sell programs, funding, and strategic partnerships to unlock growth for customers.
  • Define and execute long-term cloud strategies, working with leadership to ensure technical excellence and innovation at every step.

What You'll Do

  • Lead High-Impact AWS Solutions - Own technical engagements across AI/ML, GenAI, Data & Analytics, Migrations, and Serverless architectures.
  • Shape Cloud Strategy for Canada's Fastest-Growing Businesses - Be the go-to AWS expert for startups, ISVs, and enterprises looking to scale.
  • Deep Dive into Customer Challenges - Run discovery sessions, build tailored roadmaps, and deliver transformative AWS solutions.
  • Accelerate Migration & Modernization: Guide customers through seamless cloud adoption, de-risking transitions and optimizing performance.
  • Define & Deliver Complex Cloud Architectures: Work on large-scale AWS solutions spanning multi-cloud, serverless, containerization, and AI-driven applications.
  • Be a Technical Thought Leader: Represent VeUP at AWS events, conferences, and industry panels, positioning us as the leading AWS partner in Canada.

What We're Looking For

  • 7+ years of deep technical experience—preferably in cloud architecture, AWS consulting, or technical leadership roles.
  • AWS Mastery: Certified AWS Solutions Architect – Professional (or equivalent hands-on expertise).
  • Strong understanding of AI/ML, GenAI, migrations, security, and cloud-native architectures.
  • Track record of designing and deploying large-scale, production-grade AWS solutions.
  • Experience working directly with AWS teams on co-sell, funding, and go-to-market initiatives.
  • Excellent customer-facing skills—ability to engage C-level execs, engineering teams, and AWS stakeholders.
  • A builder's mindset—ready to take ownership, innovate, and shape the future of cloud adoption in Canada.

Bonus: Familiarity with AWS Marketplace, funding programs, and co-sell motions.

Experience working with startups, ISVs, and scale-ups in high-growth cloud environments.
