Job Description

Our Information Technology division is looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, professional individual to join our Strategy & Corporate Services team in a full time Workday ERP Technical Specialist role.

Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Cloud Services & Business Analysis, the Workday ERP Technical Specialist provides ongoing daily support and maintenance to our ERP system, which includes business process configuration, security administration, additions and deletions of system users, system upgrades, ad-hoc projects, maintaining system configuration, supporting data audits, and releases of new functionality. This role is also a support role and responds to user issues and requests for small enhancements.

The successful candidate will demonstrate professional maturity with a "can-do" spirit. This position provides an opportunity to demonstrate strong analytical and critical thinking skills while staying organized. Attention to detail, strong commitment to meeting deadlines and demonstration of independent judgment are required.

Accountabilities and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

System Support

  • Investigates user issues.
  • Creates cases with vendor support to get issues resolved.
  • Explores new functionalities and provides demo to users.
  • Develops new reports based on business requirements.
  • Provides project management support for system maintenance, upgrades and implementations.
  • Performs password resets and access management to non-production and production environments for users.
  • Provisions / installs new environments.
  • Refreshes environments from the production environment.
  • Transfers and deploys (non-data) configuration and code changes between multiple environments.
  • Updates business process definitions to add notifications or change workflow.
  • Unit tests business process changes.
  • Develops and provides documentation evidence for change requests.
  • Provides support for OCM activities.

System Security

  • Creates new security groups / roles to fulfill user needs.
  • Adds / removes security group / role access for users.
  • Changes security policies to grant or remove access to security groups / roles.
  • Security system advocate for AESO to provide feedback or drive security related-feature adoption.
  • Named point of contact for any high-profile security events & coordinate internal resources to organize any necessary counter measures with IT infrastructure or within AESO’s Workday tenants.
  • Provides additional details to Workday, as needed, around security related events.
  • Coordinates with Cybersecurity Team on cybersecurity and cybersecurity events.
  • Assists internal & external auditors.
  • Provides CSOX support by providing reports on security group / role assignments in Workday.

Integration Support

  • Experience building and supporting Workday Integrations.

You have:

  • 5+ years of IT experience with minimum 2 years Workday system security experience.
  • Possesses detailed knowledge of Workday configuration tools.
  • Understands the functional areas of the product.
  • Experience with integration development and support preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical mind; demonstrated critical thinking and analytic skills with strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Creating custom reports according to user needs.
  • Create new security groups/roles as needed in conjunction with functional team.
  • Document solutions to facilitate long-term operational support.
