Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist

Reports to: FP&A Director


Responsibilities:


  • Operating Expense Budget Tracking: Prepare and analyze expenses by cost centers, identify trends, variances vs budgets, and provide insightful analysis and explanations.
  • Operating Expense Budget Development: Forecast operating expenses for future periods, incorporating business drivers and assumptions.
  • Work cross-functionally with senior leaders on Annual Workforce Planning & Site Performance Calibration as part of Annual Budget Process.
  • Monitor and report on key operational performance metrics like Yield & Scrap factor, analyze operational data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
  • Work cross-functionally to drive operating efficiency (cost saving idea generation, quantification, resource planning, execution) through manufacturing process improvements/automation, vendor contract negotiations, etc.
  • Analyze warehousing and supply chain logistics costs, including transportation, inventory carrying costs, and facility expenses; develop monthly tracker with variable KPI and Work with cost owner to drive savings/efficiencies
  • Assist in preparation of Board of Director monthly/qtly presentations.
  • Fulfill any financial audit requests.
  • Compliance with the Company's Integrated Management Systems which includes, but is not limited to Production, Quality, Food Safety & GMP.
  • Compliance with all rules & policies regarding health safety, occupational safety, environmental safety, food safety, legal regulations, company requirements, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in financial planning and analysis
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
  • High level communication skills to interact with all levels of management
  • Able to organize, multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • CPA designation (earned or working towards) an asset
