Job Description:
Department Overview: TDBG spends around $8B each year with vendors. Strategic Sourcing Group’s (SSG) role, in collaboration with our business partners, is to create sustainable competitive advantage for TDBG by leveraging this third party spend and the expertise of our key suppliers to meet our needs, reduce total cost, and mitigate supply-related risks.
Job Accountabilities:
CUSTOMER
- Develop and implement Global category strategies employing category management and best practices.
- Develop and lead implementation of category and strategic sourcing strategies that support TD and business partner needs and objectives.
- Ensure effective delivery of SSG services to business partners and prompt and thorough resolution of all business partner issues.
- Provide guidance on outsourcing governance best practices and counsel to business to ensure supplier arrangements meet all TD policy and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to the development and execution of supplier transition activities, governance programs, and management programs.
SHAREHOLDER
- Work closely with key business leaders to develop business plans.
- Plan and execute on strategic activities, review and communicate results, and adjust tactics accordingly.
- Execute on the annual business plan to deliver results aligned with business strategies.
- Manage overall budget, revenue, and expenditures.
- Proactively identify key business opportunities and develop strategies to achieve recommendations.
- Monitor and communicate the effectiveness of strategies, programs, and practices.
- Protect the interests of the organization by identifying and managing risks.
- Keep abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements.
- Ensure employees are knowledgeable and comply with Bank and industry Code of Conduct.

- Post-Secondary Education.
- 10+ years of related experience.

- Experienced sourcing practitioner with a deep understanding of contract terms.
- Proven track record of delivering significant cost savings.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong project management skills.
- Self-starter who can take ownership and accountability.
