Tire Production Technician

Our shop in London, ON is currently recruiting for a full-time Tire Production Technician to join our team. Previous experience in the tire retreading field is an asset, but not required as we offer extensive training to each of our new Retread Team Members.

Performance incentives are available to be earned based on learned positions inside the plant.

As a Tire Production Technician, you would:

  • Assist in the daily start-up, shut down and scheduled maintenance of production equipment
  • Perform initial and final inspection of tires to be re-treaded according to specifications
  • Operate equipment / machinery necessary for tire restoration
  • Perform restoration of tires
  • Load and unload tires
  • Monitor and report on stages of the tire retreading process
  • Paint and final finish of tires
  • Prepare tires for shipment
  • Operation of forklifts and other lifting equipment
  • All other duties assigned by management

We are looking for a candidate that has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, is a self-starter, in addition to:

  • Confidence and aptitude to work independently in a supervised capacity
  • Adaptability and demonstrated readiness to acquire new skills
  • Comfortable performing frequent heavy lifting
  • Able to handle high heat temperatures
  • Prior experience working with technology / equipment / machinery an asset, but not required (training will be provided)
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Outstanding time management skills in order to meet deadlines or targets
  • Ability to demonstrate dexterity with hand tools
  • Experience working in a team-based environment
