Role: The Business Analyst works in close collaboration with the product managers, other analysts, team leads and reports to the Director, Product Development. He or she is primarily responsible for translating user needs into functional requirements. The Business Analyst must have a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational and priority management skills.

Below is a brief description of the expected product the candidate will be working on:

Equisoft/Connect is an indispensable CRM for over 10,000 financial advisors across North America. Our tool provides advisors with a complete view of their clients' data and an up-to-date investment and insurance portfolio, helping them provide outstanding service to as many people as possible.

Your Day with Equisoft:

  • Carry out functional analyses of new technological solutions based on user requirements
  • Work closely with UX designers, developers, product owners, and other analysts for documenting functional specifications
  • Contribute to the design of new roadmap functionalities
  • Contribute to user interface design in collaboration with the designers
  • Support the development team during the sprint (answer questions, participate in informal demos, review test cases, etc.)
  • Prepare and carry out functional tests
  • Act as the Product Owner Proxy when needed
  • Participate in planning sessions with the Development Team and Product Manager to define next sprint priorities
  • Create the needed Jira tasks for the sprint and partner with the Technical Architect and Team Lead

Requirements:

Technical:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering or Information Technology or College Diploma combined with 3 years of relevant experience
  • 5+ years in a Functional Analyst, System Analyst or Business Analyst role
  • Experience with Agile analysis tools (User story mapping)
  • Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to prioritize activities effectively
  • Strong problem-solving and detail-oriented skills
  • Excellent French & English communication skills, written and spoken
  • Working experience with a design team (UI/UX) (asset)
  • Experience working in the insurance or finance industry (asset)
