Diamond Pistons located in Clinton Township; MI is looking for a 2nd shift lead.

Job Function:

Provide the technical support to all associates and assist the shift supervisor in insuring the continuous operation of production facility. Assist all manufacturing associates to insure productive and efficient operation of the processes. Work with Operations Team to supervise assigned production personnel in order to meet customer demands and strategic objectives of JE. Assist operators with technical difficulties and machine problems.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with second shift supervisor to insure productive and efficient operation of the processes.
  • Take an active role in team activities for continuous improvement.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting manufacturing processes and providing resources for technical support to assigned associates when needed.
  • Assist Operations Team with meeting company strategic goals and objectives.
  • Lead assigned associates in continuous improvement tasks when needed.
  • Assist shift supervisor and management in maintaining disciplines and policies.
  • Assist supervisors in the training and educating of associates.
  • Responsibilities will also include covering the shift in the event of a supervisor absence or vacation on off-shifts. This would include, but is not limited to, any of the following:
  • Answering manufacturing questions (technical support and troubleshooting).
  • Taking responsibility for the security and safety of assigned associates.
  • Communication with previous and prior shift.
  • Ability to work any overtime needed.
  • Operate assigned machine as much as possible.

Requirements

Required Job Function Competency:
