Performance Media Planner Job Description
Position Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Performance Media Planner to join our team and drive data-driven media strategies that achieve measurable results. This role involves developing, executing, and optimizing performance-based media plans across various digital and traditional channels, focusing on achieving client objectives such as lead generation, conversion optimization, and ROI improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
***Media Planning & Strategy:***
Develop and implement performance-driven media strategies aligned with client business objectives.
Conduct research and analyze target audiences, industry trends, and competitive landscapes to inform media planning.
Select appropriate digital and traditional media channels (e.g., search, social, programmatic, display, video, OTT, radio, and print).
***Campaign Management:***
Manage end-to-end campaign execution, including budgeting, ad placement, tracking, and optimization.
Collaborate with internal teams (creative, account management, analytics) to ensure campaign alignment and delivery.
Monitor campaign performance metrics (CTR, CPA, ROI, etc.) and optimize campaigns to maximize results.
***Data Analysis & Reporting:***
Analyze campaign data and generate actionable insights for continuous improvement.
Prepare and present detailed performance reports to clients and stakeholders, highlighting successes and areas for optimization.
Use analytics tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, etc.) to evaluate channel effectiveness and user behavior.
***Collaboration & Communication:***
Partner with media vendors and platforms to explore new opportunities and negotiate competitive rates.
Work closely with creative teams to ensure ads align with the campaign’s performance goals.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on all media-related queries and updates.
Optimization:
Implement A/B testing strategies to refine targeting, messaging, and ad creatives.
Continuously monitor campaign budgets and pacing to ensure efficient media spending.
Stay updated on industry trends, emerging platforms, and tools to drive innovation.
Qualifications:
Experience:
3+ years of experience in media planning, digital marketing, or related roles.
Proven expertise in managing performance-based campaigns across multiple channels (Google Ads, Meta Ads, DSPs, etc.).
Skills:
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in media planning tools (e.g., DoubleClick, Mediaocean, or Prisma).
Familiarity with ad platforms and analytics tools such as Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, and programmatic buying platforms.
Ability to work with data sets, conduct analysis, and interpret performance metrics.
Excellent project management, organizational, and multitasking skills.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field.
Certifications in Google Ads, Meta Blueprint, or similar platforms are a plus.
