Senior Financial Analyst

Our client is seeking two experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join their FP&A team. This role is crucial for ensuring timely and accurate accounting, reporting, and business analysis. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in fostering a strong control environment, coordinating the flow of information with finance staff across the company, and working with regional team with operational decisions to achieve budgeted targets and organizational goals. Responsibilities include forecasting, KPI tracking, budgeting and business planning processes, and involvement in special projects, while also providing leadership within the finance team.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Manage rental asset portfolio and associated customer relationships, ensuring monthly journal entries (JEs) are prepared and completed on time. Reconcile and review G/L accounts for rental fixed assets and intangible fixed assets, and perform rollforward to investigate and follow up on outstanding items.
  • Accounting Policies & Best Practices: Maintain consistency and adherence to accounting policies and best practices, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Data Reconciliation & Process Improvement: Reconcile data between systems to identify inconsistencies and recommend/initiate process changes for improved performance.
  • KPI Tracking & Reporting: Partner with business units to identify and monitor KPIs, gathering and formatting data into regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards.
  • Cost Analysis: Perform monthly analysis of cost of acquisition and portfolio movements, and build analytical models for ad-hoc financial analysis to provide insights and recommendations to management.
  • Audit Support: Assist with year-end audit processes by preparing audit working papers.
  • Budgeting Support: Provide support during the budget process to ensure timely completion with appropriate levels of involvement.
  • Operational Excellence: Identify and report on key success factors, recommending improvements to current operating practices, processes, and procedures.
  • Data Analysis: Work with large volumes of data to understand trends and provide insights. Provide timely and consistent analysis and metrics to cross-functional internal stakeholders.
  • Customer Retention Analysis: Measure the success of current customer retention programs and provide analysis to support new initiatives. Collaborate with Sales/Retention teams to suggest and operationalize new retention campaigns based on analysis.
  • Variance Analysis: Provide value-add variance analysis to operations divisions to drive performance, highlighting financial issues before they become significant.
  • Financial Coaching: Provide coaching to non-financial managers on the importance of financial procedures and their impacts.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Act as a liaison with other Finance group members and the organization to ensure data integrity, address challenges, and identify opportunities for increased efficiencies and improvements.
  • Team Leadership: Provide leadership and mentorship within the finance team, guiding less experienced staff and fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Special Projects: Lead and assist with special projects as required


SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience: 3-6 years of accounting work experience with a financial analysis capacity, including experience in a leadership role.
  • Education: CPA designation or working towards a CPA designation.
  • Attention to Detail: Detail-oriented and results-focused with the ability to see the big picture and understand how tasks fit into overall company objectives.
  • Deadline-driven: Motivated to deliver against immovable deadlines and within tight timelines.
  • Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to communicate identified problems and facilitate resolution.
  • Problem-solving: Develops solutions that effectively address underlying concerns.
  • Teamwork: Able to work in a team to accomplish shared goals.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Experience with SQL and Asset. Familiarity with Power BI, Prophix, and KNIME is desired but not required. Experience with SAP is preferred.
  • Time Management: Strong problem-solving and time management skills.




Salary Range : 75k -90k
