120K annually ( 1 year contract with extension )
Our Client in the food industry is looking to add a Procurement Manager to the Organization.
We are looking for a Procurement Manager that will manage the sourcing and purchasing of raw materials / ingredients for production. Experience from the food industry is key. As the ideal candidate for this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective procurement strategies, negotiating with suppliers, overseeing contracts, and ensuring timely and cost-efficient delivery of goods and services. You will also supervise and mentor a team of two and coordinate with other departments to optimize the supply chain performance.
As the ideal candidate you must have 5-10 years of strong purchasing experience in the food industry. Your role will involve sourcing, negotiating and having knowledge of pricing / buying of food ingredients. Having experience of buying commodities such as oil, flour etc would give you an edge for this position. You should also have experience in leading a team and managing the daily activities as they relate to working with other internal stakeholders within a manufacturing business.
