We pride ourselves on delivering comprehensive and accurate construction documents that meet our clients' needs while ensuring efficiency and minimal changes in the scope of work.

Role Overview: As an AutoCAD Technician, you will be responsible for the daily preparation of design documents for a variety of projects, including commercial, retail, municipal, and other civil/architectural designs. Working closely with the Drafting Manager, you will ensure that all construction documents are precise, clear, and aligned with Edison Engineers' drafting standards and design philosophy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare civil and architectural construction documents that meet permitting requirements and allow for efficient project execution.
• Integrate multiple key factors, such as municipal regulations, client design criteria, and sound engineering practices, into your design work.
• Collaborate with the Drafting Manager, Project Managers, Senior Project Managers, and Administrative Staff to maintain strong team relationships.
• Exhibit exceptional communication skills and attention to detail while handling multiple projects simultaneously.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in Architectural or Civil Engineering Technology or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil or architectural design, with the ability to be self-sufficient during periods of absence by senior staff.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp (or equivalent rendering experience).
• Mechanical drafting experience is an asset but not required, as training will be provided.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a team player mindset.
