The Specialist, Sustainability Services will be part of our Awards & Certifications division and will be responsible for facilitating green building certification and award projects to assist our clients meet their environmental directives. You’ll be working alongside a collaborative and empowering team surrounded by industry experts in delivering environmental solutions to a wide array of clients. We are seeking a person that is also excited by our purpose that will be provided with the tools and training to grow their career at CD SONTER.

The successful candidate will be a driven, self-motivated individual with green building knowledge coupled with a passion for growth and new learnings. This position reports to the division Manager and is based out of our head office in Toronto, Ontario. This role also offers flexible working hours and work remote days.

Your day to day:

  • Facilitate green building awards and certifications (such as BOMA BEST 4.0 and Fitwel)
  • Write proficient award submissions, which highlight the client’s initiatives for optimum certification results
  • Prepare clients for onsite verification meetings and facilitate client presentations
  • Conduct energy, water, and indoor air quality audits
  • Conduct stakeholder engagement events when required

What you bring to the role:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Environment, or related field
  • 1+ year sustainability experience
  • Knowledge in Green Building Certifications (e.g., BOMA BEST, Fitwel)
  • Knowledge of ASHRAE Level I Energy & Water Audits and Indoor Air Quality Assessments is an asset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills; thrives in environments managing multiple projects
  • Takes a well-ordered and logical approach when analyzing problems, organizing work, and planning action
  • Available to travel locally and nationally when required
  • Valid Driver’s license
  • Access to a vehicle is an asset
