OXcan is poised for rapid growth and we need a driven Operations and Communications Manager to work directly with the CEO, the Board of Directors, and the wider OXcan team focusing on execution and operations.


Role Overview

This is a full-time hybrid role for an Operations and Communications Manager at Oxford Cancer Analytics located in Toronto, ON. The role involves implementing communication strategies, fostering relationships with key stakeholders (the board, senior leadership, and internal and external stakeholders), and increasing the company's visibility through outreach efforts.


Responsibilities

  • Manage shareholder and external stakeholder communication and develop positive, persistent relationship building
  • Manage senior leadership and Board of Directors communications, objective tracking, and documentation
  • Develop PR and external communications strategies and executing these strategies via social media and targeted external platforms
  • Work directly with the CEO and other senior leadership to assist in daily operations critical to the advancement of the company


Qualifications


Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences, Life Sciences, Business, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field (advanced degree such as professional decrees, MBA, MSc, or PhD is a plus).


Skills & Competencies:

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
  • Experience in developing and implementing communication strategies
  • Proficiency in social media management and outreach
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Experience in management consulting, the healthcare/biotech industry, and/or start-ups is preferred
  • Experience in investor relations in a plus
