Job Purpose
The Managed Services Manager is key to ensuring operational excellence across the organization. They will streamline our processes to maximize efficiency and profitability, ensuring that our business operations run smoothly and align with our strategic goals. The role involves collaboration across departments to drive continuous improvement and foster a culture of excellence and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee the implementation of operational strategies and objectives to ensure the achievement of the company’s goals.
  • Manage and optimize operational processes, including supply chain logistics, inventory management, and production schedules, to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage budgets and forecasts, providing regular reports to senior management on operational performance and financial health.
  • Lead, motivate, and support a large team within a time-sensitive and demanding environment, including setup and management of career development plans for all direct reports.

Reporting Structure
The Operations Manager will report directly to the Executive Director, Service Operations and will work closely with other department heads. They will oversee a team of technicians within the services team.

Performance Goals

  • Achieve a 10% labor reduction in administrative tasks.
  • Identify and optimize three processes.
  • Increase team productivity by 10% through strategic initiatives and training programs.

Responsibilities:

Operational Management:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the services team, ensuring operational efficiency and adherence to best practices.
  • Performance Analysis: Analyze and interpret data and metrics to evaluate team and operational performance, facilitating informed decision-making.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit comprehensive reports on general operations and performance metrics to senior management.
  • Staff Engagement & Development: Engage with staff through regular meetings and assessments, focusing on skills development, setting clear expectations, and identifying opportunities for growth.
  • Strategic Planning: Participate significantly in strategic planning processes, from concept to execution, ensuring staff alignment with organizational goals.
  • Efficiency & Innovation: Promote operational efficiency and innovation within the managed services team by incorporating new ideas and methodologies for continuous improvement.
  • Sales Team Support: Enhance the sales team's performance by encouraging adaptability to process improvements, crucial for collective success.
  • Service Optimization: Regularly review and optimize service offerings, identifying and implementing innovations and efficiency enhancements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Bridge technical and managerial perspectives to enhance decision-making and foster a cohesive team environment.
  • Cultural Integration: Cultivate a unified culture that transcends regional divisions, such as the MB vs. SK divide, to promote a collaborative enterprise ethos.
  • Performance Evaluation: Use data and metrics to comprehensively assess operations and team performance, recommending strategic adjustments when necessary.
  • Vendor & Partner Relations: Develop and maintain strategic relationships with vendors and partners to support and achieve business objectives.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years experience in IT operations management or similar role that demonstrates leadership.
  • Understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, marketing etc.
  • Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development.
  • Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics.
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills.
  • Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, or equivalent experience.
