This candidate will join a well-funded, fast-growing technology startup with the unique opportunity to help build out a critical function for the company.


As a technical Product Manager, you will define, own and execute on a roadmap that covers new and existing integrations to accounting platforms common in our industry. In addition to this you will be involved in enhancing and enlarging such functional areas of the product as invoicing, job costing, inventory and purchasing, equipment management. You will learn about the commercial subcontracting industry, our customers - their people, organization structures, processes, and what they need from their operations platform. You will execute on the roadmap working with your team of engineers, UX Designers and QAs . You will be expected to meet KPIs metrics aligned with our goals and values.


What you will do:

  • Develop deep expertise in the needs of the Controller and Accountant personas from their operations platform
  • Formulate a vision and strategy to address their needs and work closely with Revenue Teams, Customer Success, and Implementation for cross functional alignment.
  • Define the roadmap for owned integrations and work with a team of engineers and QAs to execute the roadmap, meet quarterly goals and customer implementation timelines
  • Run engineering sprints and drive squad performance to deliver while maintaining high quality standards
  • Define the technical blueprint along with engineers and drive initiatives to optimize existing functionality in such modules as invoicing, job costing, inventory and purchasing, accounting integrations, equipment management
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, sales, marketing, implementation, and customer success
  • Monitor Performance KPIs to prioritize optimization efforts


What we look for:

  • 4+ years of experience in product management, with demonstrated success in delivering products to market.
  • 3+ years of experience with accounting & ERP systems
  • Strong foundation of Accounting concepts and experience with one or more of the following Platforms - Quickbooks, Sage/Sage-Intacct, Spectrum, Vista, Computerease, Netsuite, Accumatica
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to inform decisions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a focus on driving results and achieving goals.


Bonus:

  • You have experience in and around the speciality contractor or construction world
  • You have experience at a high growth vertical SAAS startup
  • Familiarity (ideally expertise) with Salesforce, JIRA, Slack, Confluence
