Bayswater Toronto requires a Project Management Guest Speaker to present to 10-15 professional certificate students. Our Project Management program is an introductory-level college program designed for international ESL students who are currently working in project management or studying in university/college. The guest speaker will provide insight into project management in Canada, discuss personal experience becoming a project manager, and the pros and cons of project management. Experience with large Canadian or multinational projects or companies is a benefit.


The Guest Speaker needs to be available to present during class time, which is 9:00 am to 12:15 pm, Monday to Friday at our North York Centre location. The course is 4 weeks, with 2024 sessions running from August 12 to September 6 and November 4 to 29. Within these timeframes, Bayswater can schedule the presentation on a day/time that works for the Guest Speaker’s availability.


Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Deliver guest speaking lectures to project management students in Bayswater’s professional certificate program.
  • Provide students with insight into project management in Canada.
  • Describe skills needed to succeed as a project manager.
  • Answer learner questions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 5+ years of project management experience
  • Experience with large Canadian or multinational corporations or projects
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality lectures
Salary and Benefits
  • Pay is $100 for each 1.5-hour speaking session.

Shortlisted candidates will be given a short phone call/email to check availability etc. They will then be invited to either a face-to-face or online interview.
