About the Role
Reporting to the Director, Finance. The Senior Analyst, FP&A’s key responsibilities will include performing financial analysis for corporate lines of business, as well as a portfolio of projects. This role will play a key role in developing and maintaining financial models to report on KPIs, business performance, and support the management reporting framework.
This role has the flexibility to be based out of either our Vancouver Development Office or our Langley Corporate Office.
We are looking for someone with analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities, who is also conscientious and detail oriented in their work. The successful candidate would use strong communication and interpersonal skills to present financial analysis and data in a meaningful way that increases the impact and value for the company.
Responsibilities
- Supports the organization with budget management, forecasting, and financial planning for Marcon's corporate entities and development/construction projects.
- Prepares financial and performance KPI reporting based on reliable and accurate data and information.
- Builds and maintains dynamic financial models and relationships to enable efficient and timely reporting cycles.
- Collaborates with business units to conduct analysis of financial results and inform key decision-making.
- Assist in reporting and other accountabilities to JV Partners and lenders.
- Assist in the financing process including preparation of information packages and other communications with lenders.
- Provides various scheduled and ad-hoc financial and performance analysis and presents findings and analyses to management.
- Contributes to continuous improvement of reporting and analysis for cash flow modeling, project returns analysis, and other key areas of the business.
- Assist in reporting and other accountabilities to partners and lenders.
About You
- Three to five (3-5) years of experience in finance or accounting in an analytical capacity
- Complex financial modeling experience
- Degree, diploma, or certificate in Land Economics, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field
- Designated CPA or CFA, or actively working towards a designation is desirable
- Advanced working proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Critical Thinking and ability to prioritize tasks and/or Strong analytical capabilities and problem-solving ability
- Outstanding ability to multi-task and attention to detail are vital
- Confirmed ability to work collaboratively and communicate well with a variety of colleagues
- Ability to work in in complex spreadsheets and interpret large volumes of business data
- Excellent interpersonal (verbal/written) skills with the ability to communicate professionally to all levels of the business
- Experience in the real estate industry is desired

The compensation range for this role is $90,000 to $120,000 annually, depending on candidate experience and qualifications.
