Position: Bar Manager

  1. Oversee all aspects of bar operations, including staff management, inventory control, and customer service.
  2. Develop and implement bar strategies, promotions, and menu offerings to maximize revenue.
  3. Train and supervise bartenders and bar staff to ensure efficient and high-quality service.
  4. Create and maintain cocktail recipes, standardize portions, and ensure consistent quality by utilizing SOPs.
  5. Monitor and manage inventory levels of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
  6. Handle supplier and vendor relationships, including ordering and stock rotation.
  7. Develop and price cocktails and drinks, ensuring profitability and customer appeal.
  8. Ensure compliance with alcohol laws, health and safety standards, and responsible service guidelines.
  9. Manage the bar area's cleanliness and organization, including glassware, utensils, and equipment.
  10. Handle guest inquiries and special drink requests, offering recommendations when needed.
  11. Provide leadership and motivation to the bar team, maintaining a positive and productive work environment.
  12. Educate the Front of House team on knowledge of LWB (tastings, seminars, educational material, and other content).
  13. Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  14. Address and resolve customer complaints or issues with professionalism.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum 2 years as a Bar Manager in the restaurant industry.
  2. Minimum 4-5 years of cumulative experience in the fine dining or casual-fine dining restaurant industry.
  3. WSET Level 2 or greater is an asset.
  4. Proven leadership and exceptional customer service skills.
  5. An excellent coach who is disciplined, honest, and leads by example.
