HAYS Manufacturing has partnered with an amazing client to recruit for their next Packaging Manager.


Your New Role


The role involves leading the business-process team in packaging, collaborating frequently with the Supply Team to balance supply and demand, and building strong relationships with key stakeholders.


Your Responsibilities


You will coordinate with on-site Operations and Supply Leadership to develop optimization strategies, and own the development, maintenance, and publication of a 12-18-month labor plan and a 4-week labor schedule. The position requires reviewing and assessing operational performance, liaising on quality, delivery, and cost opportunities, and interacting with the manufacturing scheduler to ensure production plans minimize idle labor and changeovers. You will develop feasible production plans based on equipment, labor, and raw material availability, attend KPI management meetings, and perform root cause analysis on KPI gaps to implement corrective actions.


Additionally, you will create and improve standard processes and employee training programs, coordinate the employee review cycle, and engage in CAPEX and continuous improvement planning. Maintaining long-term capacity plans with input from Supply, participating in the Long-Range Plan, and performing other assigned duties are also key responsibilities.


Your Skills


  • 5+ years of previous Operations management experience, strongly preferred in Nutraceutical, Pharma, Cannabis or Food/Beverage industries
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Operations Management, Finance, or similar relevant field
  • Strong computer skills, especially using software like Excel and SAP
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
