We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in planning, coordinating, and executing construction projects. This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in coordination with subcontractors
  • Review shop drawings
  • Prepare documentation for change orders and reconcile associated costs
  • Prepare cost estimates as required and assist in preparation of documentation and costing for job payments
  • Assist in monitoring and maintaining project schedules
  • Keep project files and records up to date
  • Record minutes of project meetings
  • Assist in coordination and consultation with project owners and consultants

Skills, Education and Qualifications

  • Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders as a team
  • Familiarity with construction management software like ProCore and Bluebeam is a plus
  • Computer skills - MS Office, MS Project
  • Excellent communication skills, self-motivated with good organizational skills and proficiency in project management methodologies
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and schematics
  • Strong time management skills to meet project deadlines
  • Prior experience in a similar role within the construction industry is preferred
  • Obtained a Diploma from the Architecture - Construction Engineering Technology program or a University Engineering Degree
