This position reports to the Pharmacy Manager and is responsible for:

  1. Receiving, preparing and delivering Rx accurately and timely.
  2. Ensuring adequate inventory levels to meet patient’s needs.
  3. Counseling with appropriate documentation to all patients.
  4. Providing friendly, positive and pro-active interaction with all internal and external customers.
  5. Creating awareness and educating customers through public relations.

What you'll do:

  1. Prepare, dispense and control medications accurately and timely to patients.
  2. Ensure medication and over-the-counter supplements inventory levels are adequate to meet patients’ needs.
  3. Counsel patients regarding new and additional medications in a friendly, positive and pro-active interaction.
  4. Create awareness and educate customers through public relations (public health days, clinics, etc.).
  5. Provide timely and positive resolution to patient’s needs and Doctor’s requests/issues.
  6. Review and control costs at all levels within Loblaw Pharmacy (dispensary).
  7. Provide ongoing training for all new and existing Pharmacy colleagues (technicians, interns, students, IPG’s).

What you’ll need:

  1. Bachelor of Science, Pharmacy and a Class A Pharmacists license a must.
  2. Superior customer relations skills and a strong sense of professionalism.
  3. Excellent leadership and performance management skills required.
  4. Proven ability to build the business using community-based marketing strategies.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Strong problem-solving skills including the experience formulating and executing action plans.
  7. Strong personal computing skills, as well as knowledge of Healthwatch Pharmacy Computer system a definite asset.

Hiring Range: $41.10 - $68.10 per hour. A candidate’s experience and knowledge as well as the geographical region in which the position is located may be factored into the pay a candidate receives for this position.
