Our client in the professional services industry is looking for a Senior Active Directory engineer with experience in Semperis products.

Location: Mainly remote - few client facing meetings for kickoff - Toronto
Responsibilities:
- Active Directory Management: Design, deploy, and manage Active Directory (AD) environments, including forests, domains, trusts, and organizational units.
- Security and Compliance: Implement and manage security best practices for AD, including Group Policy Objects (GPOs), security groups, and access controls.
- Semperis DSP Management: Utilize the Semperis Directory Services Protection (DSP) platform to monitor, detect, and respond to threats in the AD environment.
- Disaster Recovery: Develop and maintain AD disaster recovery plans, including the use of Semperis AD Forest Recovery to ensure rapid restoration post-breach or system failure.
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Regularly monitor AD health and performance using tools like Semperis Purple Knight and other diagnostic tools; troubleshoot and resolve issues related to replication, authentication, and synchronization.
- Integration: Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to integrate AD security measures with other identity management and security solutions.
- Automation: Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts or other automation tools to streamline AD administration tasks.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of AD environments, configurations, processes, and recovery plans.
Requirements:
- 8 years of experience in managing and supporting Active Directory in complex, multi-domain environments.
- Semperis Expertise: Hands-on experience with Semperis DSP, AD Forest Recovery, and Purple Knight for AD monitoring, security, and recovery.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation, strong understanding of LDAP, Kerberos, NTLM, DNS, and other core AD technologies.
- Security Knowledge: Strong understanding of AD security, identity, and access management (IAM) principles, and experience implementing security controls and monitoring solutions.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or similar are preferred.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
