Job Purpose

This position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operation, reporting, compliance, and assisting the Director of Finance in ensuring the hotel financial strategy is implemented in accordance with the hotel’s policy & procedures.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily accounting operations, mentoring staff, ensuring teamwork and efficient operation.
  • Verify daily bank balances through review of credit card reconciliation for Director of Finance approval.
  • Verify the accuracy of the General Cashier report and ensure daily revenue deposits into the bank.
  • Perform month-end accounts reconciliation of all general ledger balances before issuing monthly financial statements. Report any gaps or variances to the Director of Finance.
  • Review monthly reports such as F&B report, Cost Controller's report, etc. as per company policy.
  • Ensure timely tax payments and filings, and resolve variances.
  • Prepare various monthly reports as required by management.
  • Assist the Director of Finance in reviewing accounting policy applications, budgeting, and financial analysis.
  • Ensure proper filing of accounting records, including contracts, for easy retrieval.
  • Stay updated with new regulations and policies.

Qualifications

Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar capacity.
  • Good reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English & Thai.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and relevant hotel finance and non-finance systems.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, Sun System, and Micros.
  • Possess leadership, development, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Results and service-oriented with attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task and work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
  • A team player and builder.
  • Well presented and professionally groomed at all times.
