Job Purpose
This position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operation, reporting, compliance, and assisting the Director of Finance in ensuring the hotel financial strategy is implemented in accordance with the hotel’s policy & procedures.
Primary Responsibilities
- Supervise daily accounting operations, mentoring staff, ensuring teamwork and efficient operation.
- Verify daily bank balances through review of credit card reconciliation for Director of Finance approval.
- Verify the accuracy of the General Cashier report and ensure daily revenue deposits into the bank.
- Perform month-end accounts reconciliation of all general ledger balances before issuing monthly financial statements. Report any gaps or variances to the Director of Finance.
- Review monthly reports such as F&B report, Cost Controller's report, etc. as per company policy.
- Ensure timely tax payments and filings, and resolve variances.
- Prepare various monthly reports as required by management.
- Assist the Director of Finance in reviewing accounting policy applications, budgeting, and financial analysis.
- Ensure proper filing of accounting records, including contracts, for easy retrieval.
- Stay updated with new regulations and policies.
Qualifications
Knowledge and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar capacity.
- Good reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English & Thai.
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and relevant hotel finance and non-finance systems.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, Sun System, and Micros.
- Possess leadership, development, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Results and service-oriented with attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task and work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
- A team player and builder.
- Well presented and professionally groomed at all times.
