Surgical Sales Representative

Our client, a surgical manufacturer with innovative and industry-leading devices serving surgeons, is looking for a dynamic surgical sales representative to cover the hospitals in Newfoundland, Canada. The chosen candidate will be allowed to sell an innovative bag of products to the following call points: General Surgeons, Urologists, OB/GYN, Colorectal and orthopedic Physicians.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales strategies by determining the relevant factors of existing and potential accounts to effectively promote the company's products to appropriate hospital personnel and physicians.
- With the marketing team's help, develop innovative programs specific to the regional customer base to drive positive and sustainable growth.
- Develop action plans (i.e., weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly) by analyzing sales figures and reports to identify the needs of particular accounts and discuss issues with Regional Business Managers to help the organization achieve its annual sales goals.
- Observe actual procedures in the operating room of hospital accounts to gain insight into the specific nuances of each physician and each OR staff member.
- Respond to customer needs and inquiries regarding products and services by developing creative and feasible solutions or working with other related personnel (e.g. Clinical Marketing Specialist, Marketing, Regional Business Manager) to create optimal solutions.
- Educate customers on the merits and proper clinical usage of company products by giving presentations and demonstrations using various formats and platforms to secure purchasing commitments, often with the help of incentive programs and services made available to the account being developed.
• - Communication and interaction across all levels within a healthcare facility (i.e. Surgeons, OR staff, OR manager, procurement, etc.)
- Build impactful relationships with regional SSOs, Health Authorities, and GPOs
Qualifications
- High level of energy, motivation, drive, persistence, initiative, commitment and professionalism
- Excellent time management and prioritizing abilities
- 2+ years of prior consistent quota achievement/top performance in Medical Sales (preferred) or B2B Sales
- Competitive and focused on achieving goals
