We have partnered with an established distribution company that is looking to add an experienced Payroll manager to its team. The ideal candidate has five or more years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities:
Reporting to the VP of Finance, the Payroll manager will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Manage and mentor a team of three payroll professionals
  • Oversee and manage the end-to-end payroll process, processing payroll for 500+ salaried, hourly, and commission-based employees.
  • Administer payroll for 10+ locations across Quebec, Alberta, and British Columbia.
  • Stay up to date with federal, provincial, and local payroll laws.
  • Manage payroll tax filings, year-end reporting, and audits.
  • Lead the implementation of a new payroll system.
  • Address payroll-related inquiries from employees and prepare payroll reports and reconciliations for leadership.
  • Support internal and external audits and collaborate with HR and IT to streamline payroll processes for efficiency
  • Perform ad hoc duties as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Designated PCP or CPM
  • 5+ years of payroll experience
  • 3+ years of leadership experience.
  • Multi-provincial payroll experience is required
