DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Install, repair, troubleshoot and maintain electrical distribution systems including overhead and underground power lines and cables, transformers and other associated equipment
  • Perform the construction of overhead lines; setting, framing of poles (primary and secondary), stringing and energizing conductors
  • Perform the construction of underground lines; installation of primary and secondary, ducts and conductors; termination and energizing primary and secondary conductors
  • Perform electric utility connections, disconnections
  • Safely operate heavy duty utility equipment including Radial Boom Derricks (R.B.D), bucket trucks, and related equipment as required


SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Powerline Technician Red Seal Certificate or Level 3 or 4 Apprenticeship completed
  • Valid DZ driver’s license with a clean driver abstract
  • Working at Heights training
  • Ability to operate heavy duty equipment, such as bucket trucks and Radial Boom Derricks
  • Enthusiastic and welcoming attitude
  • Detail Oriented
  • Professional and organized
  • Team Player
