Tahini's Restaurants, the fastest-growing Mediterranean fusion cuisine brand in Canada, is seeking a dynamic Videographer / Video Editor to join our team. You will be responsible for amplifying our brand voice and engaging with our loyal customer base across all digital platforms. This role will focus on creating captivating content, driving engagement, and ensuring that Tahini’s continues to stand out in the ever-competitive digital landscape.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Content Creation & Videography:

  • Shoot, edit, and produce high-quality video content that showcases Tahini’s vibrant brand and Mediterranean fusion cuisine.
  • Appear on camera and actively engage in video content creation, ensuring an authentic and personable brand presence.
  • Create fun, engaging, and visually appealing social media content (videos, stories, reels) across multiple platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube.


Video Editing & Content Production:

  • Edit raw video footage into polished content with attention to detail, using tools like Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or other video editing software.
  • Add captions, graphics, and music to enhance videos and ensure they align with the brand's voice and aesthetic.


On-Camera Presence & Engagement:

  • Be comfortable and confident in front of the camera, creating engaging and personable content that connects with our audience.
  • Must be outgoing and energetic to bring the fun, approachable personality of Tahini’s to life in each video.


Collaboration & Strategy:

  • Work closely with the marketing team to align social media efforts with overall brand strategies and promotions.
  • Collaborate with other departments for promotional events, new product launches, and special campaigns.
  • Assist with creating and maintaining an engaging, fun, and vibrant brand personality across all digital platforms.
  • Stay up-to-date with social media trends, emerging platforms, and creative tools to keep Tahini’s content fresh and relevant.


Must-Have Skills

  • Exceptional videography skills, including expertise in operating cameras, lighting setups, and audio recording equipment.
  • Must be willing and able to travel as needed for on-location shoots, events, and other video production needs.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to commute to the office or designated work locations as required.
  • Advanced video editing capabilities using software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and motion graphics tools such as Adobe After Effects.
  • Strong storytelling skills with the ability to translate brand messages into visually compelling narratives.
  • Expertise in creating platform-specific content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and long-form YouTube videos.
  • Proficiency in color grading, sound design, and video compression techniques to ensure the highest quality across various platforms.
  • Experience working with animations, overlays, and typography to enhance video content.
  • Knowledge of the latest social media trends, algorithm updates, and best practices for audience engagement.


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Film Production, Media Studies, or a related field (preferred; not required).
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience as a Videographer, Video Editor, or Creative Content Specialist, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrable portfolio showcasing diverse content, including brand campaigns, promotional videos, social media posts, and storytelling pieces.
  • Expertise in pre-production planning, including scriptwriting, storyboarding, and conceptualizing creative ideas.
  • Proven ability to manage end-to-end video production, from ideation to final delivery, under tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with marketing, design, and leadership teams to align video content with overall business objectives.
