About The Role

Due to continuous growth, we are on the lookout for a dedicated Center Director to join our team working in Calgary

The Center Director is ultimately accountable for the commercial, operational, and academic needs of the centre, as well as the welfare needs of the staff and students. We are looking for a sales-minded, customer service-oriented leader with strong business management skills and passion to make our center attractive to students through the delivery of an industry-beating student experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leads on the development plan for the center, including commercial and business development initiatives as well as operational needs.
  • Manages all operational functions and ensures the running of the center is efficient, effective, and profitable.
  • Oversees the set up and management of the Private Career College.
  • Maintains compliance and accreditation for both provincial and national bodies.
  • Plans, designs, and implements an accommodation strategy that caters for the center’s accommodation needs.
  • Reviews performance on a monthly basis using data, ensuring service and delivery are in line with objectives.
  • Assists in the day-to-day accounting processes for the school and preparation of any required financial reports.
  • Ensures budgets are adhered to and are reviewed as determined by the CFO, implementing any required changes.
  • Nurtures excellent relationships with agents and sales team.
  • Manage, guide and coach school staff encouraging team spirit and a positive work environment in line with Bayswater Values: Love your community, keep an open mind and an open door, challenge what we know, champion the spirit of adventure.
Qualifications And Skills

  • An undergraduate degree is essential. A teaching qualification is desirable.
  • Senior management experience in a school/college environment.
  • Management experience within a Private Career College.
  • Experience of managing groups of international students.
  • Knowledge of safe-guarding of children and best practices.
  • Numerate and IT literate with competence in Excel.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organised, multitasking and able to prioritise.
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to be a mentor for the team.
  • Results and customer oriented with strong commercial mindset.
  • A team player and able to build rapport and engage with a diverse range of people.
  • Committed to continuous improvement through being outward looking and reflective.
