We are seeking motivated, proactive, team-driven individuals to join our team in our Markham office. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing land development business with tremendous opportunities for growth and advancement.

We are looking for a Project Manager with strong technical, project management, and leadership skills to lead land development projects. As an Urbantech Project Manager you will be responsible for:

  1. Project Management to oversee detailed design, submission package preparation, approvals, coordination, budget management, and liaising with approval agencies to ensure project timelines are met.
  2. Daily client coordination and contact.
  3. Due diligence and front-end project planning.
  4. Developing new business and retaining the existing client base.
  5. On-going review of opportunities to improve project efficiencies.
  6. Coaching and mentoring staff.
  7. Staying up to date with policy, guidelines, and new technologies.
  8. Performing drafting, design, and cost estimating tasks as required.
  9. Attending site visit meetings, conferences, and training as required.

Other duties may be assigned depending on what is needed to complete our commitments. You will be required to work with staff at our Oakville office on occasion, but Markham will be your main office.

Skills & Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 5 years of local experience gained in the consulting industry.
  2. Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or C.E.T.
  3. Experience as lead design engineer/design project manager, with a focus on land development.
  4. Demonstrated professional judgment, consistency, and attention to detail, with a track record of quality work products.
  5. Demonstrated leadership, decision-making, and coaching skills, especially the ability to train and mentor professionals.
  6. Proven project management and design skills with a demonstrated ability to meet project schedules and budgets.
  7. Knowledge of provincial and municipal environmental regulations and guidelines.
  8. Creativity and understanding of the gray area between theory and practical application.
  9. Ability to plan, organize, and manage projects, deadlines, and clients.
  10. Familiarity with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D software.
  11. Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication, and technical writing skills.
  12. Collaborative mindset, able to build long-term, successful relationships with clients and project teams.
