My client is looking for an Electrical Engineer with a focus on assisting with maintenance and reliability issues in a mill.

Key Accountabilities
  1. Review & Revise equipment criticalities in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  2. Lead RCFA (Root Cause Failure Analysis) investigations and identify corrective actions to address the root cause of electrical equipment failures.
  3. Lead refinement of the mill predictive and preventative maintenance programs.
  4. Create detailed plans for unique complex jobs.
  5. Conduct FMEAs (Failure Mode Effects Analysis).
  6. Lead small capital reliability improvement projects from start to finish.
  7. Develop QA/QC for critical electrical work.
  8. Be familiar with and keep up-to-date on predictive technologies to aid in early detection of impending equipment/process failure.
Requirements
  1. P-Eng required or actively working towards P-Eng designation.
  2. Knowledgeable on large motor, construction and maintenance requirements, (AC and DC motors).
  3. Providing technical support for power and control issues and development of work procedures, standards, addressing skill deficiencies and development of best practices.
  4. Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
  5. Knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code.
  6. Ability to work as a leader in a team and collaborate with other disciplines to ensure continuity of operations.
Qualifications
  1. The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or CET with an equivalent combination of demonstrated skill and work experience.
  2. Personal commitment to working safely and protecting the safety of others.
  3. Minimum of 5 years' experience in heavy industrial maintenance.
  4. Strong Electrical aptitude.
  5. Experience with PLC/DCS operations and logic.
  6. Ability & confidence to initiate actions with a sense of urgency driving for high quality, sustainable results.
  7. Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (SAP preferred).
  8. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
