JOB SUMMARY:
Core Purpose and Essence of The Position: Monitoring Pouch Sorter activity ensuring the mechanization runs efficiently through analyses of workload, order allocation and waving & providing recommendations on labour balancing and indicating where troubleshooting of the warehouse and automation management system is required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor Pouch Sorter and Automation looking for errors in the system
- Identify errors in the system and promptly call Sr. Technician and B2C Management
- Create IT Tickets and escalate errors in system associated with down time
- Ensures timely & accurate completion of tasks and proactively plan for future projects
- Ensure the equipment or tools are good to use, not past due maintenance or calibration
- Evaluate automation performance and make informed decisions on waving and releasing orders
- Evaluate automation bottlenecks and communicate with Senior Technician and Logistic Coordinator
- Assist with physical inventories, cycle counts and inventory reconciliation
- Report any process anomaly or operating supply shortages to operations management
- Communicate continuous improvements and suggestions to management
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to analyze, identify abnormalities in system performance and problem solve
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and Access an asset.
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent decision making and problem-solving skills
- Analytical and Detail Oriented.
WORK SHIFT:
Sunday to Thursday 7AM–3:00PM
Monday to Friday 3PM - 11PM
REPORTS TO:
General Manager
PRIMARY INTERACTIONS:
The primary exchange will be with Operations management, Engineering, and Client
MINIMUM EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma
- Experience or education in a warehouse work environment preferred
- Engineering, computer science or related technical degree preferred.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position may require working in a loud environment, standing or sitting for long periods of time and working at a computer 95% of the time monitoring 6-7 Television Monitors.
