As a key member of the Maintenance Team, the Baggage Handling System Technician Helper plays an integral role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our baggage handling systems within the Calgary Airport. This role involves both electrical and mechanical maintenance work, performed under the supervision of the Shift Supervisor and in collaboration with the Shift BHS Technician.
Must be able to work rotating shifts; including nights, weekends and holidays.
Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Ensure the effectiveness of the system through diligent quality control and adherence to best practices.
Assist in providing technical clarification and detailed explanations as needed.
Perform Pre-Job Hazard Assessments to mitigate risks before work begins.
Collaborate with Baggage Service Agents and assist at Manual Encoding Stations, including manual baggage movement as required.
Technical Diploma or relevant education in a related field.
Solid understanding of electrical and mechanical systems and their functions.
Proficiency in MS Office, SCADA, and CMMS software.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
