Job Profile

The Room Attendant provides a superior level of guest room cleaning service. This position maintains and exceeds Delta Hotels standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide housekeeping duties including changing the sheets, changing and arranging the towels, restocking toilet supplies, vacuuming, dusting rearranging the room, disinfecting all guest room surfaces after guests check out.
  • Report and return any guest properties found in the rooms while rendering service.
  • Report cases of property damage in commercial spaces to working housekeeper.
  • Clean, disinfect and store all equipment at the end of the shift.
  • Monitor and report on the inventory of cleaning supplies.
  • Respond to calls for housekeeping problems, such as spills and broken glass.
  • Assist with laundry management, including washing, drying, ironing and sorting linen.
  • Report, turn in and log all lost and found items.
  • Clean upholstered furniture.
  • Stocks carts daily.
  • Perform detailed deep cleans when required.
  • Performs other duties, as assigned, to meet business needs.

Qualifications

  • Possess a positive attitude and works well with other team members.
  • 3 years of housekeeping experience in an upscale hotel.
  • A team player.
  • Able to multi-task and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Able to communicate effectively in English both written and verbal.
  • Possess good attention to detail and have strong organizational skills.
  • Able to complete repetitive tasks including bending, lifting, and stretching.
  • Must be willing to work in Kamloops, BC
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

Working conditions

  • Fast-paced environment.
  • Variety of hours- morning, afternoon, evening, weekends, weekdays, holidays.
  • Standing for long periods of time.

Physical requirements

  • Ability to pull, push, reach, bend, stoop, kneel and frequently lift to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, sit or work for long periods of time.
