Essential Functions
  1. Consistently represent YMCA’s values and mission, comply with all YMCA Policies, procedures and Provincial Licensing and Health regulations.
  2. Implement tactics and activities to support the Child Care Operational Strategy.
  3. Achieve registration targets by optimizing room capacities and utilizing waitlists.
  4. Meet or exceed targets outlined in yearly budget.
  5. Monitor and evaluate implementation of curriculum.
  6. Listen to and treat all families respectfully, bearing in mind their values and background.
  7. Develop relationships with external partners to enhance care for children and families.
  8. Work as a ratio Educator, as required.
  9. Creating and implementing a training plan for new front line and leadership staff.
  10. Play an active role in personal development, training and succession planning.
  11. Lead and coach direct reports through the use of the Standout Tool and/or other tools; use Standout as a tool to help increase team engagement. Monitor and direct performance of Direct reports.
  12. Embrace philanthropy to support the achievement of association goals and enhance member/participant involvement.
  13. Engage with community stakeholders.
  14. Complete administration duties as required.
Qualifications/Experience
  1. Level 3 Child Care Certification.
  2. Standard or Child Care First Aid & CPR – C.
  3. Able to obtain a Police Information Check with Vulnerable sector check.
  4. Leadership experience in a Child Care program.
