Program Manager, Vital Heart Response

Come join our Cardiac Sciences Leadership team, which supports world class cardiac care in the Edmonton Zone and beyond. As the Program Manager for Vital Heart Response (VHR) - a fully integrated, multidisciplinary heart attack management program supporting Edmonton Zone, Central Zone and North Zone and Cardiac Sciences program priorities, you will collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary team to advance cardiac care in Alberta. As the successful candidate, you will come to our team with previous leadership experience having a proven track record of success. You will have well-developed communication skills, exceptional critical thinking skills, excellent time management skills and a passion to improve cardiac care in Edmonton. You will thrive in a busy role and be flexible to an ever-evolving environment.
In this position, you will be able to utilize a number of your leadership skills as you ensure high quality, accessible, sustainable, patient and family focused care for the above listed program areas. As the accountable individual for VHR and Program priorities, your key responsibilities will include: Strategic Planning including the development of Business Cases or Briefing Notes. Program Development including Initiation and Expansion. Implementation and Evaluation of Quality Improvement Projects. Fiscal and Human resource management. Program Reporting. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leadership success and will have strong communication, organizational skills, change management, team building and mentoring skills.
Minimum 3 years of recent operational leadership experience in an acute care setting required. Previous experience with developing business cases, strategic plans and evaluation frameworks. Registration with a health profession is required. Undergraduate degree in a clinical health care field is required.
