The Nitty Gritty:


Big Viking Games is on the hunt for an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team on a full-time contract basis. This position will be reporting to the Director of HR & People Operations and will be responsible for two client groups, Big Viking games and our sister organization that is also in tech and gaming.


The Role:


The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for identifying and attracting top talent to Big Viking Games. In this role, you will develop and execute recruiting strategies, manage the full-cycle recruitment process, and ensure a positive candidate experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in outbound sourcing for engineering roles, experience implementing talent acquisition best practices, excellent communication and time management skills, and a passion for connecting people with opportunities.


This is a full-time contract position with the potential for extension and/or conversion to full-time employee based on performance.


Requirements


Responsibilities:


Collaborate with hiring managers to understand job requirements and develop effective recruitment strategies

Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and extending offers

Utilize various recruitment tools and platforms to identify and engage with passive and active candidates

Develop and maintain a strong network of industry contacts and talent pipelines

Ensure a positive candidate experience by providing timely updates, feedback, and assistance throughout the recruitment process

Track and analyze recruitment metrics to identify areas of improvement and measure the effectiveness of recruitment efforts

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and legal compliance related to talent acquisition

Prior experience participating in job fairs, networking events, and other recruitment activities to promote the organization as an employer of choice


Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field

Minimum of 2+ years of experience in software (gaming preferred) talent acquisition

Proven success in managing full-cycle recruitment processes

Strong knowledge of various recruitment tools, platforms, and best practices

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Strong track record of closing multiple requisitions within a set timeframe

Large Canadian sourcing network for in demand engineering and technical roles

Knowledge of employment laws and regulations related to talent acquisition
