Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and profit and loss statements.
  • Conduct monthly variance analysis to compare budgeted figures with actual performance, collaborating closely with subsidiary managers.
  • Perform thorough monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Develop and distribute weekly KPI dashboards to executive leadership, highlighting key financial metrics.
  • Create and issue internal reports based on specific requests from management.
  • Drive continuous improvement in month-end reporting processes for enhanced efficiency and accuracy.
  • Prepare and/or approve journal entries, ensuring appropriate documentation and support.
  • Review complex transactions and contracts, drafting accounting memos as needed.
  • Execute quarterly debt covenant analyses to ensure compliance with financial agreements.
  • Lead the year-end audit process, serving as the primary contact for auditors.
  • Address accounting inquiries by researching and interpreting accounting policies and regulations.
  • Support the implementation of new ERP systems and operating platforms.
  • Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable teams, ensuring proper transaction handling and compliance.
  • Manage daily treasury functions, including cash management, ACH transactions, wire transfers, and reporting.
  • Handle insurance risk management tasks, including contract reviews, renewals, certificate reconciliations, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Review and process vendor invoices and payments, verifying documentation, account coding, and necessary approvals.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations by staying updated on legislation and advising management on necessary actions.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA certification or progress towards CPA.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or auditing roles.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience with internal controls; familiarity with US GAAP is advantageous.
  • Experience with financial consolidation preferred.
  • NetSuite experience is a huge plus.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines.
