Logistics Coordinator

Overseeing and facilitating the supply chain operations of our company, you will be the one to coordinate personnel and processes to achieve the effective distribution of goods. The goal is to ensure the smooth operations of a variety of channels aiming for maximum efficiency. This is a collaborative team environment, and we are all responsible for the overall customer and carrier experience and have responsibility for all duties listed below.

Responsibilities of Logistics Coordinator:
  1. Negotiate freight rates with carriers for domestic and cross-border TL and LTL
  2. Source carriers
  3. Perform work with a sense of urgency and attention to detail
  4. Respond quickly to customer requests
  5. Follow up on delivery delays or security issues
  6. Grow and develop existing carrier and customer relationships
  7. Responsible for margin improvement through various methods
  8. Track & trace
  9. Responsible to obtain all accessorial approvals and complete loads within 48 hours of occurrence
  10. Ensure the highest level of customer experience is provided
  11. Manage and coordinate daily shipments with carriers and customers
  12. Liaise with customers and carriers to facilitate their pickup and delivery appointments
  13. Ensure TMS contains current and complete data
  14. Orders are to be closed within 12 hours of delivery
  15. Ensure all audit requirements are completed and scanned into TMS prior to dispatching loads
  16. Perform all relevant aspects of Greenscreens including rates and customer quotes
  17. Ensure all PODs on the POD missing report, that is sent daily, are collected from carriers within 48 hours of receiving the list
  18. Compliancy for customer volume expectations
  19. When volumes fall short investigate why and advise management
  20. Ensure carriers are qualified in Truckmate and RMIS
  21. Assist and collaborate with the rate and pricing team when required
  22. Vacation / Sick time – Collaborate with peers and management to ensure proper coverage for all accounts in your absence including vacation and sick time
  23. Additional duties as required
  24. All staff will be cross-trained on all dedicated accounts
  25. Ensuring accuracy of carrier rating – Any invoice discrepancies or errors should be corrected within 48 hours of receiving
  26. Will perform other duties as required
Qualifications:
  1. Experience in cross-border shipping, full-truckload as well as less-than-truckload
  2. Experience in third-party logistics or brokerage role
  3. Ability to make quick decisions
  4. Strong attention to details
  5. Ability to manage time effectively and multi-task
  6. Effective teamwork skills
  7. Ability to effectively handle multiple conflicting priorities
  8. Strong communication, customer service, and computer skills
  9. Ability to build rapport with both carriers and customers
