  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Ability to implement and improve accounting processes and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Experience in providing mentorship and training to junior staff members.

Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

1. Month-End Close Process:

  • Oversee and manage the entire month-end close process, ensuring that all financial data is accurate and finalized within established timelines.
  • Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and other closing activities.
2. Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reports, providing clear and actionable insights to senior management.
3. Quality Assurance:

  • Review and approve work performed by the accounting team, ensuring it meets the firm’s standards and client expectations.
4. Team Leadership and Development:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accountants, providing guidance, training, and professional development opportunities.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
5. Process Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and systems, enhancing efficiency and reducing errors.
  • Implement best practices in accounting and financial reporting, staying current with industry trends and regulatory changes.
6. Client Management:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for high-level accounting matters with clients, addressing their needs and providing strategic financial guidance.
  • Ensure client satisfaction by delivering high-quality, timely, and accurate financial services.
